He’s the only true problem with the team right now. I threw some blame at TF but when I look at it he did his job. He brought in players from free agency that have been making an impact for our defense. When u look at our defense the top performers, even if we exclude bates, were TF pickups. Besides aj terrell all of our drafted players have not produced well enough

And I used to believe TF had draft power but that clearly is AS. You can just tell by our draft picks who is choosing these guys. It’s like AS gets the front end of the draft and TF has to find 6 rounds and undrafted talent.

Then on top of that it’s has been AS decision to go with ridder. It has been decision to miss on parsons and to miss on a couple of lineman. Just to draft a wr to block in the first round. Just to lie to Pitts about you ability to get him the ball. Then u draft bijan and miss out on another baller for a tailback who runs like Saquan but you got him playing slot receiver.

Dude is looking like a football idiot. Especially since his run game ain’t working.

Stop turning the ball over, coach!

I was thinking more along the lines of “stop calling a middle school offense, coach.”

He’s the only problem as long as you don’t think QBs turning the ball over, defenders blowing coverages, defenders missing easy tackles on QBs, O lineman being unable to pass block, D lineman unable to generate pressure on any QB, and WRs who can’t get separation are problems. Yeah as soon as we fire Smith we are going to the super bowl.

Who said we are going to the Super Bowl. Nobody. All I heard is our defense is still better than we ever had and it’s still bad. All I heard is damn Arthur you a ex olineman and oline coach and you can’t coach these boys up. All I heard was damn Arthur stop using a etch and sketch to draw your pass plays up. All I heard was damn Arthur you damn near handpicked this whole team damn near. And DAMN ARTHUR, the only one producing is the ones you didn’t put on the field or sign.

Yeah he sucks and needs to be fired if we don’t win out. If you think he’s the only problem you just aren’t paying attention or you’re willfully ignorant.

He’s not but he’s the seed grew this trash ass bush. Every tras aspect about us is because he touched the area first.

I dunno. I’m ambivalent on AS. I think it might be good to give him some more time. Why start all over with a whole staff that will also take a few years to do something? Who else would we get?

I understand that sentiment, but who would you want as coach? I’m afraid it would end up being some college coach making his first foray into the NFL.

Are you sure Art has the most sway in drafts? Because I’d argue we’ve not even given Pitts a real chance to show he’s a bust. Art has made a concerted effort to involve Algeier and Jonnu more in this offense than who you are saying was his first big pick at 1:4 that he forced in the FO. For awhile he was using Bijan as a rotational piece that didn’t have full trust in the RZ. If we had a QB, we might be talking more about how London doesn’t get enough looks in favor of whatever journeyman wideout Art thinks plays hard or something.

The biggest issue is Art hasn’t and isn’t tailoring the offense to his personnel. He’s running the team his way, and it’s all a major swerve to what good coaches and teams do, which is adjust and maximize to what they’ve drafted/signed and have on hand. No QB but 3 top 8 weapon picks on rookie deals? Every play should be minimal read iso looks trying to put the ball in their hands. Force teams to stay wide through that so the run game Art loves so much is always reliable. But no, Art has an ego and an idea of what he wants to do, and it will cost him his job. Or us another year of dead end 6-8 win football, take your pick. But I don’t buy the draft strong arming because he’s used each one as if they are just another player equivalent to the rest of the offense that get regular snaps.

TF is responsible for the funk the Falcons are currently in for pursuing Watson and giving Ryan the lack of respect shaft. It was time for Ryan to go but the way the whole thing was handled caused the team to lack. TF is as much at fault as anyone and should pay the same whatever happens

What in the world? Are we still on this? While a Falcons legend, Ryan was garbage his final season in the NFL. It was absolute highway robbery to get a 3rd for him. There’s a reason he’s STILL on CBS when guys like Tim Boyle and Aidan O’Connell are starting NFL games.

Could we have handled it better as an organization? Probably, but given that he HAD to go either way, it doesn’t really matter. There’s clearly no hard feelings now. And it CERTAINLY has nothing to do with the fact that we’re a poorly-coached, disappointing excuse for a football team.

Not handling it better is one of the primary reasons the team has a lack of chemistry and has yet to develop on consistent chip on the shoulder attitude. I guess you miss some things when reading. I said Ryan was done either way, but when a GM totally botches a deal like TF did with Watson while mishandling the departure of one of on the franchise’s greatest QBs, unprofessional stuff happens all around.

So your argument is the team “lacks chemistry” because of a “botched” Watson deal over a year and a half ago. I’m losing brain cells by participating in this discussion, so I’m out.
