Does he really have anything left to prove in this league

a few years ago he said on an NFLN interview that “I don’t intend to coach into my 70s like Marv Levy”… maybe he’s changed his mind who knows.

doubt he has the patience at this point in his life to run a team that needs a complete rebuild. Maybe the Chargers like someone already mentioned; they at least have a legit franchise QB.

I imagine it was partly him realizing that he didn’t want to leave the game, and also realizing he was getting closer to Shula’s record.

I really don’t know what other team he’d actually want to coach besides the Giants. But I think he’s run his course in New England… He’s still a great defensive mind but his offensive philosophy and acquisitions have been terrible.

He probably thought he’d be closer to the record then.

Bill is quoted in the article about similar comments.

“ I wish I hadn’t said that. I was probably thinking of what I would feel like. Now, there’s what I actually feel like, and those are two different things.”

I think the best bet would be for the Pats and Bill to just go their separate ways, similar to Andy Reid and the Eagles. A change of pace is likely necessary for both parties at this point in time.

If he is willing to NOT be the GM, then sure. The patriots are bereft of talent rn, he has had an awful track record the last decade or so drafting.

They are actually not. They are poor at QB and WR…but they have a lot of talent. Especially if you include their two injured stars on defense.

The defense would be so freakin’ good with Judon and Gonzales they’d probably have dragged the offense kicking and screaming to a few more wins right now. Not enough to compete for a playoff spot, but enough to help Belichick inch closer to the career wins mark.

True, but we’re managing to lose while holding teams under 10 points. These QB’s are some of the worst to ever touch a football field. We need Maye or Caleb

not reading the article but if Bill gets the boot, I’d imagine he’s immediately signing with the Chargers. All of those studs on both sides of the ball would be a wet dream for him.

If the Pats end up with a top 3 pick, I trust BB to make that selection more than anybody else. He still might fuck it up, but I have greater faith in him than anybody else.

Why do they need bill to make that selection it’s really simple whoever is left between Harrison and maye
