Hey, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any useful books that can help me understand fundamentals of being more photogenic. I was looking at books like “The Photographer’s Guide to Posing: Techniques to Flatter Everyone” which may well be what I’m looking for, but it occurred to me that photography posing and just taking photos in daily life to share on Facebook, instagram might be a different game and have a different book more well suited for it. This one is a like 50 bucks and I don’t mind buying it but I thought it would be worth asking some feedback or better suggestions here first. Cheers

Honestly it might be easier to practice rather than read about practicing

This may sound odd, but the posing guides these days and so are mostly a total waist of time. Go look and people and styles in the 20’s to lets say the 60’s and how people carried themselves. Those are GOLD and work so so well. Search for photos of that time period, trust me worth a look…

Get free store catalogs. Study poses. Try figuring out the lighting used.

A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.
