What’s a book that you absolutely love to the point that you don’t get bored of reading it or listening to it? For me, I’d say it’s The Hunger Games. I read it for the first time a while ago and now I’m listening to the audiobook. It’s truly amazing. I still haven’t read the other books in the series though. I am looking forward to reading them, I bet they’re just as good or even better than the first book.
The Sherlock Holmes stories. 221B feels like home. They’re just such charismatic, pacy and exciting stories. Holmes and Watson are a constant, comforting presence in my life.
My Brilliant Friend (Ferrante)
The Count of Monte Cristo (Dumas)
Homegoing (Gyasi)
The House on the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. I listened to it, which I highly recommend, and read the book.
Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir (Really love the Whole Locked Tomb Series) Every read through, it feels like you’re learning/connecting more things in the plot. The audio books are fantastic too.
“High Achiever” by Tiffany Jenkins which is actually a true story of her addiction and sobriety. She’s funny yet it was very powerfully and so deep. I laughed at times and I cried with her at times so hard I had to put the book down for a bit to gather myself. For the first time I could actually see why and how addiction affects a person. Now I know why it’s so difficult to overcome addiction. I gave me a whole new perspective and respect for those who have overcome addiction.
