I have a fiber gigabit internet connection into my home and a Nokia G-240G-A ONT provided by the ISP. I also have a mini pc running pfsense with an SFP+ port. Is it possible to plug the fiber cable directly into the pfsense box using a certain transceiver?

Part of the reason i’m asking is just curiosity about how they authenticate usage (MAC address?) as to my knowledge I didn’t provide login credentials anywhere. But also, the fiber drops into a low voltage enclosure; it’s not one of the larger ones, so would be convenient if I could free up some space in the enclosure and remove the ONT.
