You probably haven’t touched FPS games in a while or you simply weren’t that great to begin with, I know plenty of former Quake 3 pros and none of their kids come close to them in Quake.

The speed of each champion is different I don’t remember that being a thing in Q3.

QC is a shitty, shitty MTX based hero shooter. It has literally nothing to do with Quake outside of having the IP attached to it. Go play an actual Quake game. I recently had a LAN party with a variety of age groups from Z to boomer and I’m just as good at Q3 as I used to be… 2 or 3 games in and it all came back like riding a bike. The Gen Z kid was talking mad shit about being really good at shooters like the latest COD and Fortnite and I spanked the shit out of him.
