Edit: If you give a toad a warm water bath, you really need to make sure the water is safe. I had evian bottles for my pet toad, which I came to after testing many water sources for the right hardness, pH, etc. Tapwater often contains chlorine which can be harmful to amphibians and many brands of bottled water are too soft which can cause too much water to osmote into the amphibian’s cells. You should also try to avoid touching a toad as your skin oils and any soap residue can be harmful (in this case I thoroughly washed and rinsed my hands before minimally handling the toad). If you find a trapped and dehydrated toad but don’t have the right materials to help it out, try bringing it to a nearby damp and shady spot that it is likely already familiar with.
