A series of records on temperature, ocean heat, and Antarctic sea ice are “unprecedented”, some scientists say.

Very worrying, and incredibly frustrating!

We’re reading more and more of these posts every day. I feel like we also need a top post of things we can all feasibly do to help.

Go vegan, join a union, join an activist group

I would echo this by saying at least try and reduce meat consumption, do meatless Mondays and try and phase it out during the week. It would be a good start.

Fly less, move your pension and investments to green funds.

I would say one day a weekplant based is nowhere near enough. If you have to have meat or dairy still, have it as a treat one day a week.

Also none of this works without political movements, so join a union

And yet the boomers on Facebook still argue that ‘theres no proof’ and ‘the earth has always had natural cycles’. Actually, it’s not just the boomers and that’s frankly disturbing

I’ve never understood this argument. A lot of the things we need to change will actually make life better for so many, including animals. So surely it would be a good thing even if the science didn’t obviously point out the link.

I read some quote the other day saying ‘we’re past the point of needing a thermometer, we need a fire extinguisher’. We all need to stop debating the finer points and just get on with some actual action.
