I can’t speak for the classic games, but of the newer ones Tomb Raider (2013) and Rise of the Tomb Raider (2016) were really good.

The latest one, Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018), ehhh I found a bit of a slog. It just felt very low effort compared to the others and the world/story were uninspired.

@Kellamity I haven’t played the newest ones (I game on a bootcamped MacBook Pro). But I read good things about Legend and Underworld so I got each of those for .99 cents. I already had anniversary from a previous sale and playing that first. It’s like Legend of Zelda but with ass and titties and guns.

start with tomb raider 2013. these games are very long, I’m not sure if shadow of the tomb raider didn’t feel as good because it was actually a worse game or just more of the same. I remember thinking it was fine but was a bit burnt out.

lara’s origin story in the first one is very good

I’ve never played an actual Tomb Raider game but I love Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and it is also 85% off on Steam at the moment. It is an awesome 2 player puzzle game.

I really wanted to play the old PS1 ports, but I found they did not hold up. I know PS1 was clunky af anyway, but wow. I returned them after an hour. The goal was retro enjoyment and I only got the former.
