Fairly self-explanatory: We need a banner. I could steal one from the internet, but why do that when I can shamelessly exploit the creativity of our subscribers call upon our wonderful users to create something inspiring!

Post em in the comments, the most upvotes by…uh, Saturday, will win. Unless they’re all awesome, and then I’ll just rotate them out.

The weirder the better, plz. (Edit: Why? Because Mass Effect has a giant repository of funny moments and memeable events, and who doesn’t like to laugh?)

Edit: General guideline is that Lemmy defaults on desktop to 750px wide, and height is set to auto. I recommend doing 750x350ish, though going bigger is usually better to size down with. If it squishes weird, I can help fix in post. :)

Much thanks! I loved the screenshot and felt it would be cool to add a bit of Garrus to the quote about shitposting since he’s got some good ones about revenge that translate nicely.

I’m no artist, and I doubt my few screenshots would be of interest, given:

But I’m curious, why the emphasis on weird? What’s wrong with a simple N7 or a classy shot of the Normandy?

Also, in more practical terms - what dimensions does a banner need to be?

My name is Commander Shepard and this is my favorite Mass Effect community on the citadel.

Rules & Regs:

  1. Don’t be a dick, unless it’s a really spicy renegade interrupt. But even then, seriously, don’t be a dick.
  2. Memes are great - seriously, I need more Mass Effect sh!tposting in my life.
  3. This is a welcoming community for all stripes, let’s just remember there’s people on the other side of the screen and act accordingly.
  4. If you’re here, you gotta post. Thems the breaks, kid.

Other stuff:

  • I hope to welcome all Rexxitors from r/masseffect, though this is not in any official way associated with them. Still, they’re great, and Mass Effect is great, so I hope all Reddit orphans can find a cozy place here to talk about whether or not Leviathan of Dis is going to pull some shady ish.
