Why don’t they simply double the company’s fine with each offence, preferably starting at $10k and going up from there, and invalidate the driver’s class registration for a decade?

Better yet: make the fine equal to the sum of all costs of repair and remediation. Instant seizure of all company equipment until they pay up, no bankruptcy or dissolving of the company possible.

In what is starting to feel like an article from The Onion, we have to report yet another overpass-related incident in BC, but thankfully, this one didn’t lead to catastrophic damages.

The BC Ministry of Transportation confirmed the latest was an overheight load on Highway 1 in Abbotsford Tuesday that scrapped the overpass at No. 3 Road.

Make up your mind on the damage, then: is it not catastrophic or is it scrapped? Or is it a spelling mistake that I could spot in a millisecond?

Context of the rest of the article implies they meant scraped not scrapped
