Well this convinced me to give it a try! It’s nice to hear about developers not treating their audience like bad guys. Just bought it!

Loved this game! The Stanley Parable meets a cosmic horror visual novel with fun voice acting. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did, and I’m glad to hear that the devs have this perspective.

I don’t like visual novels but I liked this game. The interaction between the narrator and yourself never gets old.

My only criticism is that adding so many achievements turned the game into menuing simulator that got incredibly repetitive and tedious. Achievements tend to ruin narrative games.

Yeah for sure! When you’re in the right frame of mind, it hits like nothing else.

Another similar type of situation for me was the game Citizen Sleeper. I had it in my library for so long without playing it, since I was worried it would be too intense or “too real”. And I’m glad I waited for the right time time to play it because it really was pretty intense lol
