Good news for the 0 people still interested in playing it.
It crashed on my system with a 3090 FTW and 32 gigs of DDR4 ram denuvo ruined any potential that game had. I was so excited for a female lead game and I couldn’t even make it through the tutorial due to crashing.
I mean, there are comparatively few. Especially AAA games, we probably only get a couple of games with female leads per year at best.
EDIT: Female leads that aren’t hypersexualized, that is. lol
You get to play as a gendered robot, for all the consequences and vague sociopolitical intrigue that implies in this story-driven action rpg.
That sounds neat and the movement’s nice.
Now join us in staring up the skirt of this big titty goth anime girl
Visible disappointment
A lot of AAA games (which I find already weird to single out non AAA games) offer free character customization or at least a gender choice. Of fixed characters there’s a bunch too, some with multiple games (Horizon, Control, Hellblade, Life is Strange, A Plague Tale, Alien Isolation, Mirrors Edge, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, 2013+ Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, Metroid, Half Life Alyx, Kena, etc.). There’s even more if you’d consider indie titles too.
I was actually slightly interested in this when I first saw the gameplay, but after seeing a bit of the dialogue in a trailer I was flabbergasted by how cringey it was. It seems like it was written by a teenager who just got done watching pulp fiction for the first time and wanted to see how many cuss words they could cram into each sentence.
Maybe it’ll perform slightly better now. Consider me slightly less disinterested, I guess. Might even grab it on sale on principle now they’ve pulled denuvo…
Ok but, is it any good now?
