A bit unrelated, but does anyone know what screensaver is running on the MacBook next to Linus? It looks pretty cool.

It’s from Apple retail. I’ve seen that video ripped from the demo app and posted online a few times over the years. I have it somewhere. If I can locate it I’ll share a Dropbox link.

Oh that would be very nice if you can.

Let’s see if the SaveHollywood screensaver is still working so I can play that video as a screensaver (http://s.sudre.free.fr/Software/SaveHollywood/about.html)

Yep, people were able to upgrade their old macbooks 2011 with 16 gigs of ram and pop in a SSD which led delaying it ending up in a landfill sooner. Imagine if those old Macbooks had gone with the philosophy of non upgradeable storage and ram like the current shift of modern day tech.

The bootlickers over at r/apple have been defending this for years

I agree. If you want super fast storage, totally fine! Just don’t remove the option to expand later.
