Some uplifting news is good to have

This is baffling how this even passed. I do not know a single person who voted for this. Liberals were actively campaigning against this since it would they claimed it would strip the Alphabet community and BIPOC community of weapons for self-defense. Conservatives were fighting against this because it’s clearly stupid.

I don’t know a single person who voted for this. For a while, this was a hot topic of conversation and Oregon has a gun culture.

For those who do not live in the state, Oregonians are the chattiest people you will ever meet. It doesn’t matter where you are, they love to chat. While politics are typically avoided, this issue was discussed often as guns are part of the culture.

I live in three states, two blue and one red. I am not opposed to gun control as long as it is effective, logical and doesn’t violate the 2nd amendment.

Gun grabber propaganda is a hell of a drug.

My point is I don’t know anyone who voted for it or even slightly agreed with it. I suspect it was California transplants. All the Orgonains I knew were heavily against this and some are extremely liberal. It seems that the California refugees have taken the left to a weird place in Oregon.

The thing is, you probably run in circles with fairly intelligent and reasonable people. That isn’t the group voting for this type of stuff. You’re looking at the whole population, half of which is below average in terms of not being stupid.
