I will never forgive Reddit for both creating and ruining a succinct framing device for the criticism of media analysis. Yes, sometimes curtains are just blue, but now all criticism of poorly thought out or overcooked media analysis (especially the dogshit prescribed analysis thrown at kids along with school assigned reading) has this long shadow of internet reaction that’s nearly impossible to escape.
#1 thing I think any newly minted socialist society will need will be media literacy classes for all. Instead of telling the students “the curtains are just blue” or “the curtains represent his deep inner sadness” the lesson will be “the curtains may or may not mean many things, depending on the context of the story, and here’s how you can learn to analyse it yourself instead of regurgitating my opinion back at me.”
Yeah conspirators would never find ironic humor in acknowledging their misdeeds, that’s total bunk
Same borough not same block or neighbourhood lol
Theres like 2 million people in Brooklyn lol
There are so many people who think Brooklyn is some tiny enclave and not practically a large city of its own.
If New York had its boroughs separated into their own cities, at 2.5 million people Brooklyn would become the third largest city in the US after Los Angeles and Chicago.
In any normal timeline, this would just be funny. But since the bad guys won the cold war, I have to slog through millions of smug I-told-you-sos from normies.
The alligator statue is not in Brooklyn it’s in Manhattan. 14th and 8th. … wait 14 & 8 that’s also sus.
