Early Annihilator has some of the best riffs. Personally, however after their first couple albums, I struggle to enjoy their releases. Is anyone the same? Should I give them another listen? I think for me the vocals sound like they are from some sort of musical XD. The music just doesn’t click with me.
They’re one of those bands for me that are incredibly good, but have never really “clicked”. I recognize their skill and talent, it just doesn’t do much for me.
But! I used to say the same thing about dying fetus until their most recent album. This last one clicked for me, and that made the older stuff click to some degree as well.
So, yeah, always try things out from time to time. If you haven’t given a listen in a while, find a playlist somewhere and spend a half hour listening. If it doesn’t click, move on.
