Throw in a couple trucking sim games to the mix and we’re laughing
I don’t get the post
apocalypse survival, prisons, resource extraction
the three pillars of capitalist economy
:steamfront:
Is is counter-revolutionary to play Tropico?
You can pirate it, but it’s probably one of the lighter city builders. Some of the jokes are fun. The pol-economy is pretty materialist for the most part, think of it as a very light version of Victoria 3’s pol-ec
I was mostly joking, since the game is basically parodying Cuba. It’s a fun game.
I wish there was something like it but slightly nerdier. I love the music
Can’t imagine wanting to build and maintain a prison for fun.
Gulag simulator where all your inmates are nazis? That sounds fun
That’s a flashback.
I remember seeing one of those stick torture games, like the 3rd one or something. I thought if there were 3, then it must be good.
I tried it. Clicked one option, I think it was gas, and the stickman just started to suffocate and die. Immediately closed the window. Even as an edgy teenager, I can’t imagine anyone deriving joy from something like that. Completely demented.
Don’t you dare talk bad about my truck sims.
The real reason is that when they were focusing on ETS2, there was a growing demand for a big rig style US counterpart. The eventually released the ATS base game with CA, NV, and AZ but the scale of the states was way smaller than the community cared for. After sales and demand to rescale ATS increased they finally went ahead and did an overhaul of the base game and stated releasing DLC states as they moved east across the states.
Because of demand and the success of the rescaling, they are now developing the 2 games in tandum. A lot of US people like ETS2 and a lot of EU folks seem to like ATS. I’m stateside but absolutely love how Scania trucks look lol. I think it might be that we don’t have cabovers here anymore and maybe it’s a bit of nostalgia since my dad used to drive truck.
