I thought that once too but that would be naive to the fact that how people take photos eg; trends are what shape the direction of camera hardware and software development.

In other words, don’t hold your breath - wait for the next ticktock trend.

Smartphones have gotten so good, it’s pretty much neck in neck between my 14 Pro and D5300.
