This is particularly infuriating:

I’m editing a (often lengthy), and I’ll switch to the browser to look something up or get a link to something I want to reference. When I return to the app, it does a force reload and returns to the home feed, losing not only my place, but the content of what I typed.

What device are you on? Are you using the latest beta or the AppStore version?

I had similar problems on my iPhone 8, but the latest beta has fixed it mostly.

It’s probably due to memory management and iOS automatically cleaning up.

IPhone XR, and I’m running 0.5 (5) from TestFlight.

Hmm your device seems to have better specs than mine. Best to just be patient and wait for the next update. The awesome devs seem to be refactoring a lot of code right now. I’m sure this issue will resolve itself in future updates.

I have an iPhone 8 Plus and I had the same problem with the AppStore version. The latest TestFlight version is much better as they’ve refractored the code and they will continue to refractor the codes to make it less ram heavy.

Mine too. Latest TestFlight on iPhone 8. I figured it’s a memory thing with iOS.

Well, that doesn’t happen in other apps, so it is something that needs to be worked around.

I personally don’t have this problem on my 11 Pro. Even left this screen while typing this and did a bunch of other stuff on my phone on purpose to make sure. I’m sure it’s a memory issue and like others have said, we’re working on improving memory usage. But you’ll have to be patient with us, we aren’t able to test on a large variety of devices, only the ones that we currently have.

I get it, I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the problem.

It’s possible this was a memory issue. I’ve made significant performance enhancements in the latest build so let’s see if that resolves these issues for you.
