I’ve never been super into hiphop until a few years ago when I became obsessed with Freddie Dredd (Memphis rap, phonk, SoundCloud stuff)
And recently stumbled upon Jay Worthy and love his stuff, Step brother of Grimes, been through a lot of gang/ jail stuff toured with her one time and started doing music way more

Ankhlejohn is probably one of the best lyricists in the game right now but nobody’s paying attention 🤷♂️
For me, it’s redveil
I tens to listen to more old school and 2000s and 2010s artists but I finally checked out redveil after his feature on Scaring the Hoes.
The lad has talent!
Topaz Jones, I feel, should be brought up more. I love the style of beats. I also like Redveil, Kota the Friend, Rico Nasty, Little Simz to name a few.
I’m know I’m super late to the Rxk Nephew train but I just randomly stumbled upon American Tterroristt when Spotify started auto playing stuff while I was working. I’ve seen him pop up here and there before and didn’t really click with it, but this song - while there’s a few questionable lines - was probably the most hilarious and enjoyable listen I’ve had in years. I completely lost focus on what i was working on and just starting laughing uncontrollably.
Recently played Sludge Life and fell in love with the OST. Looked it up and it’s by Doseone, who also worked on Enter the Gungeon and Nuclear Throne.
I’ve been listening to some of his solo stuff and it’s a breath of fresh air, even though a bit weird. Similar style to Aesop Rock. I give it a 8.5/10.
