It seems like they’re trying some graphical upgrades which will change the game requirements on PC. Is that person shown in the picture a new playable race or no? Also the game was announced for Xbox consoles, too - expect many people to join for the first time.
So much I’m excited about!
Though honestly, I think the biggest thing for me is the 2 dye channels per item. This was the big thing I missed coming over from Guild Wars 2, actual fine-control during dye application. So happy they’re giving us some of that now.
And wow does everything look pretty with the new reflections and shading.
I’m curious about these new classes. I can only imagine at least one of them is brand new (like Sage was). We’ve mined the FF depths and brought over so many classes already, and at some point we’ll start getting brand new ones more often, methinks.
People have been speculating that shirt could mean one of two things (or maybe both, who knows)
- That it’s a class that will use scouting gear (sharing it with ninja).
- Green mage (but since a buff/debuff wouldn’t work, specially since it most likely have to be a magic dps class, it would have to be something really different, maybe a DoT class?)
The first one is the most likely. And since this is an expansion themed around adventures on a new world, traveling through the high seas, we could be seeing a pirate/corsair themed class, but that’s just my opinion.
I’ve seen another theory that the TMNT are named after 4 famous artists. Would could be getting a painter style class…
As I understand it, they previously said they’re not adding any more playable races after the massive amount of work that the Viera and Hrothgar took. They’re adding Hrothgals at some point to go along with the bunboys, and then they’re done.
For me it’s seeing what the new raids are. But it’s so early my hype could easily shift to something else next fan fest.
The big thing to me are the two dye channels per item. The current setup has been entirely too restrictive when it came to making really cool character setups, and it was the one really big thing I was still missing since I swapped over from Guild Wars 2.
