We all know that one artist who releases great animated short films on YouTube or someone creating amazing documentaries just from the bedroom. This community is meant for these people instead of the next big Netflix thing - showcase their work here. Please only post links to media that is freely available and fully watchable right now.

Always credit the original artist when creating a new post!

Please use “[Media Type] Title by Artists Name” when posting and provide a link to where you can watch the media. You can also post additional links to the artists’ portfolio / social media account(s).

What this community is meant for:

• Independent media by independent creators
• Documentaries (example)
• (Short) Movies (example)
• (Animated) series (example)

What this community is not meant for:

• Commercial media available for streaming
• Media only available behind a paywall
• Full movies from big studios (there are a lot of 1970’s movies on YouTube that somebody uploaded, this is not the place for them)
• Netflix documentaries, Amazon’s latest hits etc.
