Just putting that out there.

Sadly, I was born overseas to American parents who were kind of over-intellectualized and against pop media, so a lot of my generation of American kids passed me by. I didn’t “get into pop culture” until the punk rock generation of the late 70s and early 80s, and by then I was a theater geek, D&D gamer, and sci fi nerd.

But I can tell you all about growing up near Washington DC in the 80s!

REAGANOMICS! :P

Let’s see, the equivalent subreddit’s rules are

  • Respondents to posts must be “old”: Born 1980 or prior
  • Please do not seek personal advice or emotional support here
  • Posts must be 300 characters or less
  • No surveys or homework help
  • Be cool to one another

although they have had the same cutoff of 1980 for a few years now. If Lemmy actually grows enough for this to matter at all, it would be best to select an age instead.
