My wife is headed out of town for the weekend to go to a concert with some friends.
No idea what I’m going to do with myself once I drop her off at her friends car this afternoon.
I had made a typo in the post title (22 June instead of 23) and am pleasantly surprised to see Lemmy allows us to edit post titles too. Better than Reddit already.
I’m coming to the end of a week in Madrid, the most common non Spanish shirt here is definitely Arsenal which is really nice to see.
Also, I randomly saw Viggo Mortensen at a café yesterday - I kind of regret not getting a photo, but he probably didn’t want to be hassled
I did know that! Yesterday, he was actually wearing a “Sam and Frodo for president '24 t-shirt”, kind of hiding in plain sight, I guess
Finally played real life football after years. My old group became inactive because of the pandemic. Found a new group, hoping it becomes a weekly thing. I thoroughly enjoyed myself even though I am out of touch.
I moved away from my hometown and it’s a complete struggle to get together for a quick match. I definitely have to search out a new group nearby.
I hope it works out!
When I played I realised that I was overthinking my shots and have to learn how to shoot again. It was kinda funny. I got a few assists and made some sweet passes though, I surprised myself.
I am so bad at shooting, it really is the first skill to go after you haven’t been playing for a while.
