I have a well pump in my garage that seems to have stopped working. When plugging it in, I hear it running, but the pressure never goes up, and the motor never stops. No idea what I’m doing with this thing.

It might be the filters in the pump are clogged.

If there is a pump above ground it may have lost prime - look up priming a well pump. If you’re hearing the pressure tank running, there might be an air leak in the bladder leaving it unable to hold pressure.

Could be the impeller on the pump is shot, wouldn’t normally go straight from working fine to completely busted, but possible.

Could also be no water at the intake level of the well

Never thought there were filters. Guess it makes sense, though.

First time I’ve run across you in the wild. Didn’t think you’d be on a well though. We just replaced our water tank last week that was constantly running. I can recommend a guy if you end up needing to go that route. I have an air compressor you can borrow to see if you can reprime your tank. Look up waterlogged well tank videos. It’s pretty simple, like filling a bike tire. But first you need to drain the tank of all water.
