Perhaps the Big Three deserve destruction; after all, they hooked us on S.U.V.s in the first place and then fell behind in the E.V. race.

If they have to go through all the safety tests that the US requires that other countries don’t, as well as be able to handle recalls that the US requires when a quality issue causes a safety concern, then I don’t think they’ll still cost $11,000.
