Data showed 58% would vote to re-enter bloc, while respondents said they trusted the European Commission more than the UK government

You have to convince Labour that this is a good idea. Because that’s the limiting factor here. Conservatives aren’t going to support this. Labour needs to get fully behind rejoin for this to happen.

They won’t.

You then could vote Lib Dems into power to rejoin.

You won’t.

For those of you in the 58%, I’ve just created @Rejoin (Rejoin@kbin.social) as a place we could talk more about this - feel free to subscribe.

Is it not federated? I can’t see it in the all communities list in Lemmy. Maybe user error on my part?

Oh that’s weird - kbin.social and feddit.uk are definitely federated as I’m posting from there and subscribing to communities across the two.

@Tom or @Ernest - any chance you can help?

Edit: solved it - ignore.

I think I’ve worked it out. Try putting this in the search bar for communities:

https://kbin.social/m/Rejoin

Or it might just work if you search for ‘Rejoin’ now anyway. It looks like to connect Feddit.uk to that Kbin community, someone needs to search for it first with the full url (which I just did with my Feddit account), but once that’s done it looks like it appears in search.

At this stage, most people would trust that lettuce that outlived Truss more than they would trust the UK government!

UK Politics

!uk_politics@feddit.uk

Create post

General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don’t post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think “reputable news source” needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(
