I hated him. A lot. And yet, if he were vice president, the world would probably be in a much better place. As long as he never got past that position.
After living a nice long life on government-funded healthcare, that he continued to have access to after leaving office, despite being the primary force behind denying the people of the United States access to similar care when he opposed the inclusion of the public option in the ACA.
There are so many reasons he was an utter piece of shit. We could also go into his fanatical support for Israel, which made a lot of the rest of us Jews look bad by association since people thought of him when they thought of “Jewish politician.”
Died on top dollar care provided by the state after a career who’s final act was spent spitefully witholding that care from millions.
Him and his geriatric kindred spirits will not be missed when enough of them are gone for real change to be made.
To your point, I don’t know that him being vice president would have made the world a better place, more so the lack of a different vice president or the presence of Gore and his prioritization of climate issues
He helped incite a moral panic about video games and was also anti gun. He won’t be missed.
