The Jungle Boy vs Douki match was such a waste of how talented Douki actually is, they just buried the guy and even the crowd could feel it.
I don’t know how they decided Jungle Boy gets Sanada at Forbidden Door, and Adam Cole is getting Filthy Tom Lawlor (as much as I enjoy filthy). Feels like someone swapped their places around just to troll.
That was my first time seeing Douki. Really liked his look and want to see more.
He’s pretty frequently featured in NJPW, and part of “Just 5 Guys” - a group that formed out of Minoru Suzuki disbanding his “Suzuki-gun” stable. He’s heavily lucha-influenced, but a roughly 60/40 split between high-flying and submission stuff.
