RiF started working again a few hours later
Is now appearing again on August 3
Yep this just started this morning for me. Since July 1st, RiF has been working for me as long as I was not logged in (no ReVanced Manager needed), but no more.
5 star overall rating in Google play, well deserved. I can’t check the free ver cause it’s hidden from store. I hope dev would try making Lemmy is fun as well some day :D
Update: if anyone’s wondering, free ver sits at 4.8, i found it cause i had left a review on it
Infinity for Lemmy working great for me.
I uninstalled RiF yesterday. If I need reddit, I’ll browse old.reddit in Firefox with UBlockOrigin on DEFCON 1 to block all the cookie/app nags.
I was able to spoof the client ID and get it working again.
I just need to visit a couple subreddits. Sadly, there’s no alternate communities outside of reddit.
I still use old.reddit on my computer for some niche subreddits. My phone, I’ve cut Reddit out. One day, I’m sure they’ll kill old.reddit
Im certain they will too. I exclusively used RiF and old.reddit for around 10 years (i guess before it was old reddit). I had no idea there were avatars for the longest time. All its gonna take is one or two more features before they say we “cant engage with the fun of reddit enough” and they drop old reddit.
