I noticed before that some of the entries got downvoted, and I thought it must be people thinking the image doesn’t fit the song (and even that doesn’t seem fair given the rules), but I’m seeing that some of these are downvoted even before we know what song it is. So I’m curious, what makes people see an entry and downvote it?
Welllll, it’s partly people using the all feed, and it’s partly some disgruntled people from ai image communities that object to the cross posting.
I have an irl friend that was down voting all of philo’s posts until I gave him a blast of shit about it after he ranted about the “spamming”. It isn’t spam, and it’s perfectly okay by the rules of the other communities, but assholes are going to asshole.
The rest may just be idiots, I can’t be sure. But every post here is on topic, so it’s a total dick move to down vote here.
Yeah I see some people flag it as spam, I just resolve the reports and ignore them.
Thanks to our new mod and the post they made over on lemmy world new communities, I am only gonna post on that other AI community once or twice a day (and I do have their mods permission). He even made a post there saying my posts are not spam so STOP reporting them but as you say…assholes are gonna asshole.
I’ve noticed that as well. I just assumed somebody had a vendetta against the game.
Yeah, maybe. I was thinking it might be people sorting by new and not getting the point of the game - downvoting when the image is crappy (like multiple arms or whatever).
People are so ineffective, that they’d rather downvote over and over again when browsing All, instead of just blocking communities that clearly don’t interest them. It accomplishes nothing.
Might be us voyager users aiming for the tiny comment button and hitting the tiny downvote button next to it?
Some people who browse All and see these probably thinking it’s spam, so instead of blocking the community to curate their own feed, they just downvote.
