I don’t know. I half-thought I told you about it once but enjoy the 10 months and 11 pages of posts.
And by all means if you have or come across any images of people wearing masks in the movies you watch they would be welcome here. So far only one guy who isn’t me has ever contributed to the magazine, beating me to a reference to M.A.S.K..
You’d be surprised what all fits here. People robbing people, people underwater, people in space, people in airplanes, people in sandy environments, people in cold environments, people for whatever reason wearing gasmasks, doctors, if the angle is right people in cloaks, occasionally robots.
I started out just naming characters or sources but as it became apparent it was just me here I began entertaining my self by being esoteric in my descriptions. Figured I might-could entice people to ask what the hell I’m talking about, or reward people who recognize the reference.
Eventually I got to quite enjoy invoking other things the characters were “Taking” in addition to “Covid Seriously”. Hits, people out, umbrage. Drop the ‘g and people can be "Takin’ " aback, by surprise, or umbrage in addition to Covid Seriously. You’d be surprised what all you can make fit.
Sometimes I use the names of characters, the actors who played them, or other characters they played.
As you can tell I have stretched the definition of “mask” at times, including a cloak I knew weren’t covering the character’s mouth or nose (I admitted it) and once I stretched credulity to its limit and allowed a plastic grocery bag full of inhalant to “count”. I did however refused to post an image of Kyle MacLachlan from The Hidden as the oxygen mask he was wearing obviously had holes in it and could not be said to protect anyone from covid.
As long as it’s at least as visually credible as the Glue entry mentioned above and not obviously allowing the free passage of (potentially infected) air, downright silly entries are more than welcome here.
