Congratulations, China made a bus!
I think the motivation is to make something like a tram that can be easily retrofitted where there is no infrastructure for trams
Sync these with traffic lights so that they always roll through greens and this is a reasonable low cost replacement for Bus Rapid Transit.
I hypothesised that libs would move onto this vague sort of “Sure, they might have a better standard of living than us, but we have FREEDOM™!” way to resolve their cognitive dissonance about China as China develops more and more and leaves the west behind. It’s nice to finally see it in action.
Here in glorious USA (greatest country in world) you have freedom to wait for bus for 2 hours for 3 hour ride to town center and 2 hour ride to other suburb. But you also have freedom to pay 170% of yearly salary on rapidly depreciating asset so you can chew necktie and fingernails in traffic and risk life and limb to do an activity that removed removed!!
Is it actually a train anymore though? Or just a really long bus?
it looks more like a long bus to me, but if it gets cars off the road efficiently I’m not gonna quibble :)
But at what cost? No seriously, we need this everywhere.
