Now he actually looks like the old man he played in Mary Poppins. ☺

He also plays said characters son in the sequel, who by that time is basically his father, aka just current DVD

He actually looks like him including the young guy masked as old guy effect, which is surprising.

The 98-year-old actor has been nominated for his guest turn on Days of Our Lives, on which he played an elderly man with amnesia.

“I have played old men before, but ‘comedy old men,’” Van Dyke said of the role last year. “This is the first time I ever just played my 97-year-old self.”

Dick Van Dyke is great. I used to watch him all the time on The Dick Van Dyke Show

It’s such a great show. Been ages since I’ve watched it so I’m sure it’d be like new all over again

DVD show and Mary Poppins were big in my house.

Saw him speak at a Bernie Sanders rally once. He opened “I am what remains of Dick Van Dyke…”

Good for him! I liked him in Mary Poppins, his original show (the little of it I’ve seen), and his Scrubs guest spot. He seems like a nice, old man.
