Does anyone have recommendations for games that I as an adult would enjoy playing but my 3 year old could watch. So games that don’t have or you can avoid violence while playing. I already have Stardew Valley for example.

It’s simple and quite short, and I’m not exactly sure why this is the first one that came to mind but here goes anyway https://store.steampowered.com/app/785790/WHAT_THE_GOLF/

There’s also the https://goose.game/ which is quite fun and silly.

I’m sure I got more ideas but those were the ones that came into mind without checking.

Edit: realized this is for the deck, not sure if they are confirmed to work but I don’t see why they wouldn’t.

Another vote for the untitled goose game. My kids loved that one at just about any age.

I second the goose game. The Bluey game is good for kiddos along with the Katamari games to a degree. I imagine many of the music based games would be okay too

Kerbal space program? My little ones always enjoyed “helping” me by hitting the space bar for me … But I could never get comfortable building anything with the controller

Edit: corrected Herbal space program to Kerbal space program

Herbal space program

I know it’s an autocorrect issue, but this is hilarious.

Hear me out, a game of having a tea plantation, in space. Finally astronauts can enjoy a cup o’tea.

Haha - I clearly shouldn’t be using the internet without coffee!

Yeah, I don’t think I would be able to build on the Deck either, but thanks for the recommendation.

Maybe Dinkum? https://store.steampowered.com/app/1062520/Dinkum/

I’ve been playing Animal Crossing with my 3 year old recently and she loves that. I personally never really got into Dinkum, but it might be a good one to try since it works on the deck

My kiddos loved watching me play through Disney Illusion Island. It’s a neat little metroidvania. No combat. Plus, they can participate by helping look out for the hidden Mickey shapes.

It doesn’t seem to be available on steam deck.

Donut county is a short but sweet game that is both relaxing and funny. My nephew got a kick out of Untitled Goose Game too.

It’s currently on sale, verified on deck, bought it, thanks.

Nice I didn’t even realize it was on sale, I played it on Game Pass a couple years ago. $4 is a great price for the game as it’s pretty short but a fun experience nonetheless. It has a cool soundtrack too
