That has got to sting. I feel it implies a third party will split the republican vote more. Good thing too!
Operation dump Trump is well on its way.
If Trump ever gets convinced (looking more likely in New York and less likely everywhere else), Haley wanted to be the GOP’s Plan B. I think she did that.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The ghost of Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign is ringing up significant support in state primaries despite her withdrawal from the race in March shortly before Donald Trump had clinched the Republican nomination.
Unease about President Joe Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war has sparked a protest vote movement in some states, raising similar questions about the strength of his support in November.
Biden’s campaign attributed Haley’s Indiana showing to Trump’s trouble in suburbs and cited similar primary numbers in swing states such as Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Haley, who ended her campaign after losses to Trump across almost all Super Tuesday states in early March, recently announced she was joining the Hudson Institute, a conservative Washington think tank.
Just before Super Tuesday, Haley said she no longer felt bound by a pledge that required all GOP contenders to support the party’s eventual nominee in order to participate in the primary debates.
She has said little publicly but has continued to utilize her email outreach, via her Stand for America PAC, sending out updates on her Hudson appointment, as well as the return of her husband, Michael, from a South Carolina Army National Guard deployment that saw him stationed in African during a large portion of her primary campaign.
The original article contains 764 words, the summary contains 211 words. Saved 72%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!
Biden ran unopposed because he’s already been crowned. There wasn’t even an “undecided” on the ballot.
So lots of Dems voted in the Republican primary because that was the only one with a presidential choice.
If you a Dem in Indiana or other primary states only 4 months before the primary is over, you’re one of the states that the DNC doesn’t give a fuck about its voters or their stances.
That’s why Indiana only goes Dem for candidates like Obama they believe will help them.
Biden ain’t that.
The Trump campaign claimed without evidence that Haley’s support came from Democrats, adding that he would carry Indiana in November, as in 2016 and 2020
Hey, you and the Trump campaign have something in common!
Do you have a reputable source you can cite to bolster your claim? It isn’t that i don’t trust you, i don’t trust the Internet at large.
With a secret ballot there is no way to know who voted for who. when talking about your vote the ethical thing is to lie.
Indiana it’s public record which ballot you take.
So someone could theoretically compare that to the party registration, but this misses all the people who are Independent but typically vote Dem.
In any case, it’s not something I can just grab two days after the election and do myself for a social media comment.
Hate to link to Reddit but:

It’s incredibly common, has been for decades.
But I said a couple things. And you weren’t specific on what part you wanted a source for, so I just had to guess, and I got it wrong this is very inefficient
I appreciate the reply, but a reddit post doesn’t qualify as a reputable source for anything. I’d be happy to read a news article or research paper if you have one.
I don’t live in Indiana anymore but, I voted republican for the primaries because as a citizen I am concerned as to who will be on the 2 sides we currently have in November. I wanted to take my small stance in voting in that upcoming decision.
I think we should totally move to ranked choice and ditch the electoral college. This current, you don’t get a say in half of the choice till the end, and then could be over-ruled with a rogue electorate, is absolute garbage in this day and age.
