Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !infinityforlemmy@lemdro.id

Your link wasn’t instance agnostic, which means people can’t join the community when they go there. If you type !infinityforlemmy@lemdro.id or /c/infinityforlemmy@lemdro.id then it will generate an instance agnostic link without you typing in the code.

[ ] Elimination of code/string references specific to Reddit

Yup me to. I guess it has to do with this unresolved Action mentioned in the OP

i still find it weird that’s it’s called infinity. i know it’s not illegal, but why not just call it "eternity for lemmy"or something?

Maybe they want to attract the original crowd. And the only association right now is the name

yeah, but it’s not the original dev [team?]

if i fork firefox into a gemini browser and call it “firefox for gemini”, i don’t think mozilla would be over the moon

The repo has older version 0.0.6, current is .7

The version string of the 0.0.7 version is still 0.0.6. It is a known issue. Even though the F-Droid version appears as 0.0.6, it should still actually be 0.0.7.
