I use lemmy not only via the app, but also in the browser (mostly even). I noticed that since the last update, the web version is no longer usable for me because all #nsfw content is blurred. As far as I know, there was an option in the profile settings to set this automatically (a device-based setting). When I recently emptied my cache, the function disappeared with it. Has anyone had any experiences?

It’s not a problem with your device. Nsfw patch is not installed right now, see https://lemmynsfw.com/post/578237

Yeah this is making this basically unusable for me on desktop. This isn’t good at all.

Yeah. LemmyTools as workaround brings the function back. I realized that the setting seems to work for one url only but I guess it is the normal situation for most users. See url below.

Use LemmyTools instead.

Most of the apps on mobile have this feature too.

Regarding extra tools: It seems to work a bit. Sometimes the unfold setting seems not to work. I will try it. It is a nice workaround.

I was a bit surprised that not many mentioned it since I think the page is not usable without these features. Maybe many uses apps on their phone, where the unbluring is part of the app. But I think, to make the page usable by browser, to add the feature again is the way to go. If I remember, it is already planed so all fine in the end. And since every server change takes effort and quality insurance, I totally understand to wait a lil bit after migrating a server.

I wish at least one of the apps would tie that feature to the account instead of having it apply to every account.

Awesome, it does. Handles a bit differently than Jerboa but I’m getting used to it. Thanks for letting me know about it.
