KDE just created their own Lemmy instance https://lemmy.kde.social/ and I would like to see it on kbin

You just start subscribing to it. That makes your instance aware of the new instance and start pulling stuff from it.

In the search bar (the magnifying glass) type @kde. Depending on the instance you’re on it will not work since there are some problems with federating Lemmy. Also, you cannot federate the whole lemmy.kde.social instance. You can only do it magazine for magazine.

Trying this since yesterday without success. Must be something wrong with that instance.

It’s federating with Lemmy.world

https://lemmy.world/c/kde@lemmy.kde.social

Must be something particular with kbin

add the communities you want by searching for them in the top right search option, format it like this: “@CommunityName@lemmy.kde.social”

for example. “@kde@lemmy.kde.social”

I believe federation is on my default. It only requires a user from either instance to interact with the other first.
