title reallyā¦ got a few games where this oldschool TV error shows instead of the actual main screen, the same happens with Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen. Itās a super weird thing, as before this appears the actual loading screen is present, but this error-image just decides to slowly fade inā¦?

Ohh wow. I just thought this was some new game intro thing. Had no idea it wasnāt supposed to do that.
Iāve noticed this with Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader too. And with dragons dogma like you have, thought it was just a me problemā¦ Good to know!
Missing codecs, try running with Proton-GE
Seconding this advice. Install ProtonUp-Qt, run it and add the latest Proton-GE version. Restart Steam and change game compatibilty settings to use use Proton-GE.
Iāve observed this in VRising too. Itās been nearly consistent since I upgraded to a better graphics card.
