Hey everyone,I hope I’m in the right place. a friend of mine told me he was diagnosed with anorexia and has started therapy. Mental health issues is nothing new because pretty much everyone (including me) in our group of friends have dealt our dealing with something so I know how to behave and comfort my friends, but an eating disorder feels so… different,I don’t know… And every online info I find talks about recognizing the symptoms, but not about someone who is already being treated, does anyone have any advice? Do’s and don’ts?

You are an awesome friend for looking into this!

I found this article with advice, and I really like the very last thing they tell you to say to your friend:

“I love you. Please let me know how I can help you.”

I think this is the most important thing. It lets your friend know you care and empowers him to tell you how to best support him. I’m sure he appreciates having someone like you to lean on.
