I want some gender-neutral to moderately feminine shorts to wear. First of all, I’m not sure exactly what that means - what makes shorts masculine or feminine? Secondly, do you have any recommendations of brands or stores for some mildly feminine shorts?

Shorter shorts are typically deemed more feminine. I got shorts from Target that were nice and didn’t cost too much.

‘Feminine’ shorts tend to be shorter in length, wider at the hips - whereas men’s shorts tend to be straight down from the waist - and, and this is the bad news - have tiny pointless pockets.

Something that happens to women a lot is their phone flipping out of their back pocket when they go to sit down on the toilet. Often into the toilet. Because the pocket is too shallow. It’s a thing.

Jean shorts and wide flared skirt/short hybrids are my go-to

I have two pairs, one is from so sporty, and the other is from Justice. Both are short-shorts that are probably only good as under-skirt wear.
