Is there a reason why the water would rise from a hole in the earth? Or since it took 6 days for it to have an effect, would it mean that 6 days later the water would recede?

Would that be how the strawhats could escape?

It’s more like the hole displaced all the water, so the world sea level rose because all that water had to to somewhere.

There’s a phenomenon where the hole can’t get filled, forcing all the water that used to be there out

What phenomenon is that? The chapter indicates that it’s an enormous hole that waterfalls are pouring into.

We saw energy beams make the hole, but what if instead of destroying it, it displaces it? That is, it pushes the island and all the land underneath it down, while displacing the surrounding land upwards.

How would that explain rising water levels? I get that it would push water outwards but I think it will subside too.

I think the beam just obliterated Lulusia.
