Yeah super specific and weirdly worded question, I know. I use the download folder a lot, so much so that I would prefer the file manager to show that folder directly instead of showing me the user folder, and then navigating to the downloads folder?

Side question, is it safe to delete folders like the documents folder and the music folder without causing issues in the future?

I’m using Cinnamon on Fedora, but I’m guessing it should be the same in Mint. Open the Menu Editor (right-click on the Mint menu and select Edit Menu) Locate the “Files” entry. Right click on it and select Properties. In the Command box, add a space after the %U then Downloads. So the Command should be nemo %U Downloads.

Not as far as I can see. Maybe there’s a plugin out there that changes the default for you?
