Maybe with some Marxism, I know Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a thing. Either way, mental illness is my current fixation, and I’ll read anything half decent on the topic. Maybe not too long idk (I’m not planning to go through the DSM). Free pdfs or audiobooks appreciated.

Not necessarily a psychology book but Wretched of the Earth by Frantz Fanon does go into a psychoanalysis of the effects colonization has on people and nations as a whole.

True, I’ve listened to the audiobook. I really like being able to explain people’s actions and beliefs by material factors.

The moral animal by Robert wright. It’s evolutionary psychology. It explores how “moral” behavior evolved not only in humans but in other animals.

Technically won’t satisfy your fixation with mental illness but you might find this fascinating as well 🤷
