Got a little excited and accidentally picked some still green ones, but hey! First ever fruit I’ve grown! Tastes all the sweeter for it! Thanks everyone for all of your advice! I’ve got so many more still turning, I’ll have to make some blueberry cobbler once they’re all done.

Haha waiting until they are ripe is sometimes a challenge.

Hopefully soon you’ll have more than you know what to do with!

Nice! I can’t wait for next year to get hopefully some berries from my plants.

Be sure to share pics when you do! I found adding coffee grounds to be a massive help. Something about the acidity I think?

Oh yeah!

They very much are acid loving plants basically all berries are. I made sure to get some acid fertilizer when I planted them but another neat trick is to use evergreen clippings as mulch as it acidifies the soil too.

Now I just need it to get cold again for flowers. Next year. -_-

Wow, evergreen clippings? Like from an evergreen tree? That’s brilliant, I’ve got an evergreen partially in my yard so I’ve got endless clippings!

That’s about what I’m getting this year. Bad freeze this winter killed a bunch of my plants outright and set several back. Oh well, I get to plant more varieties now!
