There was a young woman named Bright.
Whose speed was much faster than light.
She departed one day,
In a relative way,
And returned on the previous night!

This is set to music at the end and beginning of the Alphaville album Afternoons in Utopia.

Enough. At first I was like, “Yeah, I love Alphaville!” However, upon further reflection, it occurred to me that I had confused Alphaville with two separate Austin-based bands, Alpha Rev and Storyville.

I’d did check out that album and sure…

There once was a man from Nantucket
Who kept all his cash in a bucket.
    But his daughter, named Nan,
    Ran away with a man
And as for the bucket, Nantucket.

There was a young lady called Jean

Who fell in a washing machine

She tumbled around

Till she almost drowned

But she came out remarkably clean

I couldn’t remember the tune to Home on the Range, so I used Piano Man, and that worked.
