To those wearing crocs, what are they like? Are they soft and comfy as the media portrays them to be?

Are they suitable for summer and out about?

I wore sandals before (jesus shoes I call them), they’re not bad but crocs seems to interest me.

Second question, why should I get some crocs? Pros/Cons?

I tried them in a store after years of being against them due to aesthetics.

Was expecting them to be much softer and marshmallowy. They weren’t bad or anything, just not what I was expecting. For something to be that ugly (to me) and it just being some molded foam, it was still to expensive and not my look to be something for me.

I got a pair of Olukai sandals and a pair of Chacos that day. Both feel like much more shoe for the money. They both have great arch support. The Olukai are cushiony and comfy and good looking. The Chacos are rock solid in a good way. They can also be restrapped and resoled, so they won’t end up in the trash near as fast.

I was against them for years. As a prank, a friend bought me bright yellow ones. I only wore them privately in the house.

I wore them down after 10 years and finally just replaced them. I have a fancier slipper style pair for when I go to peoples houses. I can’t not wear them now. Buy them. Love them. They’re cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Magical.

Mines are used for; backyard shoes when I’m not going anywhere, they live in the balcony, rough basement area, another pair lives there. I take them with me when camping, to lounge around and to kayak. They’re basically outside slippers.
