Just picked up V Rising. Just realized the map indicates where to find certain resources!

It took me too long to find the same thing. How are you liking it? I kind of wish the path to progression was a bit more clearly outlined, because sometimes you need a specific resource to move forward, and I just have no idea where to find it.

Been trying to play Grim Dawn - but it’s next to unplayable thanks to it’s instability and overall jankyness.

Oh, well… back to looking for something worthwhile, I guess.

I just finished the Lego Harry Potter games… kinda old, but with the next horizon game being a Lego game I figured I should give them a fair shake. I love horizon, and I want to like the next incarnation.

TBH I’m not really a fan of the Lego games. They are ok, but I don’t really like the format of rush to the end to unlock what you need to then go back through and collect all the things you can’t collect the first go around.

Next on the list is the Lego movie games, there’s actual dialogue and some of the mechanics seem like what they would use for aloy… so probably a good next step.

I’ve also got marvel, city undercover, worlds, and some real old Star Wars Wii games. The Harry Potter ones are the first I’ve managed to finish.

Im almost done with Lego Marvel Super Heroes, and I couldnt agree more. The story is ending way to fast vs how much ive been able to unlock. The stories are decent, love they got some high profile VAs like Coulson, andhe puzzles are decently challenging.

Also have Lego Worlds, and its like a fast paced Minecraft, decent world building capabilities.

Does that one at least tell you what’s missing? Like the first Harry Potter I had to look up the red sparkles, to find out that you need a specific character type to use that. The second game had that as a tip when you got close so it’s at least clear about what you need.

The marvel version I have is ps3, is that what you are playing?

Yeah, ps3 also and the tips are few and far between had to consult GAMFAQs a few times to make it thru certain levels

I’m continuing through Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. I just beat the boss that a lot of people say is one of the hardest of the DLC (you know the one…there’s a lot of fire), and now I’m poking at the edges of the map to try to find my way to the next thing, wherever that may be.

I’m also occasionally going back to Fallout 3. It’s still aged better than I remember it, but the side quests I’m finding later in the game are not living up to the ones I found earlier. While earlier they would send me somewhere and something interesting would happen along the way, they’re beginning to start and end exactly where I found them with just a few lines of dialogue. Oh well. The game is still fun.

My wife and I beat Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. It’s very good, and I highly recommend playing it with someone else, if for no other reason than another perspective and someone to bounce ideas off of for puzzle solutions. It’s Resident Evil without the zombies or a giant escape room, whichever comparison you prefer. However, unlike either of those, the possibility space for where you can go next is so large that you often don’t know what you’re missing or if you have everything you need to solve a puzzle, and that can create some frustration. Otherwise though, I’d highly recommend it.

I also got back around to The Thaumaturge. It’s somewhere between an RPG and an adventure game, and the setting is really carrying it for me, because you just don’t see much like it in video games. It’s set in 1905, in a Warsaw that was recently annexed and all of the political and societal implications of that. The combat is fun, the story is interesting, and despite being made by a small team, the presentation punches above its weight. I do wish the RPG parts were deeper, but I can’t say I’ve played much like this game.

Mostly been playing OW2, the new role buffs are interesting but it sucks that no skins can be earned from the Transformers promo, they have to be bought.
